Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of lead actor in Stephen's famed 1973 musical "Pippin" on Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" is a musical that starred Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina successfully put a contemporary twist on a role originated by award-winning actor and actress Ben Vereen. She was able to master the Fosse movement that the show has so heavily rely on. Patina received an Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in an Leading Role within a Musical as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical along with Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her performances. From December 2012 to Jan. 2013, she performed as the Leading Player of the American Repertory Theater's production Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
